Week 2 Reading Anthology
The story that grabbed my attention this week was Tricksters: Tiger, Brahman, and Jackal. I liked the nature of this story of the trickster jackal being a kind of hero as well. The idea of a trickster is intriguing to me as they are funny and witty. They are smarter than the others in the story and use it to their advantage. The tiger is also a trickster in this story as he tricks the brahman into freeing him from the cage, even though the brahman knows he shouldn't. The tiger thinks he's stronger and smarter than both the brahman and jackal and the jackal uses this to his advantage. By acting dumb, the tiger is unsuspecting to the jackals plan and jumps back into the cage. This story is light hearted and entertaining.
