Reading Notes: Jataka Tales Part B
In The Two Pigs a woman finds two piglets in the forest and takes them back to her home. She treats them as if they were her children and she loves them like so. Some men come to the woman and ask to buy the pigs so that they can have a feast but she declines because she loves the pigs. The men get her drunk and she finally decides to sell one of the pigs to them. The pig finds out and runs to the other saying that he will be sold. He tells him that this won't happen because the woman loves them. The wisdom of the pigs amazes the villagers and they take them to the king.
